Nassa is a vase made of handcrafted borosilicate glass 3.3, characterised by a distinctive double-wall construction.
On the outside, a clean, minimalist cylinder encloses a continuous, sinuous inner form that rhythmically narrows and expands, creating a sequence of geometric volumes. The two structures coexist within the same object: the regularity of the outer wall contrasts with the movement of the inner form, creating a fascinating interplay of transparency, depth and reflections.
Nassa’s distinctive geometry is inspired by traditional fishing traps, ancient tools used by fishermen and typically characterised by a series of narrowing sections that guide fish inwards. An element deeply rooted in maritime culture is reinterpreted through glass and transformed into a contemporary, minimalist form.
When filled with flowers, the stems visually pass through the inner structure, becoming part of the vase’s design and creating a dialogue between glass and nature.
Even without flowers, Nassa retains all its expressive strength. Its transparent architecture and rhythmic sequence of forms make it a sculptural object, capable of enhancing a space even in its purest form.
